Sandy Creek Pecans

Sandy Creek Pecans is a family farm in Milburn, Oklahoma. Native pecans are grown and harvested on the farm. They are committed to increasing the ranch's ability to produce nuts while working to enhance and maintain environmental quality and natural resources. They use cattle to naturally fertilize the trees. Instead of baling the pastures, they save their grass as natural pasture. This provides a better ground cover for moisture for the pecan trees and better nutrition for their cattle.

They are exploring ways to use compost tea for orchard insect control and ways to utilize the cast off nuts and shells from the cracking process.
